Here you will find information on the G.S.Casella established in 2001 and information about its team and upcoming events. G.S. Casella is the proud home to the Official Look! Save a Life cycling team based in Boise Idaho.
"So what is up with the G.S.?"
The G.S. in the club name is a throwback to Italian club teams. Back then they shortened the Gruppo Sportivo with a G.S. in front of their club name. So Gruppo Sportivo Italia let's say, had "G.S. Italia" on their jerseys or literature. Shorter and easier.
In the USA, probably the most recognizable club team for years was that of longtime cycling supporter Fred Mengoni with his G.S. Mengoni squad that still is run out of the New York City area and has had many star riders come through it's team. It is also a tribute to a great squad that I grew up watching and racing against.
